Born on 08.05.1977 in an agricultural family to Mr. P. Shanmugasundaram and Mrs. Vellaiyathal in the small village of Uchipothai in Tenkasi District. Did schooling at Panchayat Union Primary School in Uchipothai village, Government High School in Vellalankulam village, and Gomathi Ampal Government High School in Sankarankoil.
Graduated from Kamaraj College in Thoothukudi and completed B.L. degree at Government Law College in Tirunelveli. Enrolled as an Advocate on 08.11.2000. Practiced in Madras High Court till 2005. Started independent practice at the Madurai Bench of Madras High Court in 2006. Served as Standing Counsel for the Central Excise and Customs Department from 2008 to 2012.
Appointed as Civil Judge (Junior Division) on 11.10.2012. Served as Additional District Munsif and Judicial Magistrate at Cheyyar till April 2016. Served as Judicial Magistrate No.I in Thoothukudi till May 2019. Promoted as Subordinate Judge on 07.06.2019 and served as Special Sub Judge to deal with MCOP cases, Thanjavur, till April 2022. Presently serving as Subordinate Judge, Perambalur.
Wife’s name Mrs. Rajeswari is a homemaker. Have two daughters, A. Shivani and A. Aruna.
