Mrs. .A.Balkis. B.L., Principal District Judge was born on 20.03.1967. Studied in different schools and Completed +2 in SIET Higher secondary School at Chennai and joined B.L 5 years (integrated) course in Government Law College at Tiruchirappalli and enrolled as an Advocate in the year 1992 and commenced practice before Principal District Court and other Courts at Tiruchirappalli till selected as civil judge junior division/ Judicial magistrate First class in the year 1998. Father (Late) Mr.M.M.Abdul Gaffoor, B.A. B.L., was a retired Subordinate Judge and Terzo Prize Winner in B.A.(Hon’s) Economics in Madras University at Christian College, Chennai in the year 1943 and mother (Late) Mrs.M.A.Rameeza Bi was a home maker. Her husband worked abroad in gulf countries and now working as a Senior Advisor in HDFC Life Insurance and Star Health Insurance. Having one daughter a Computer Engineer got married to an Advocate practicing before Madurai bench of Madras High Court, Madurai.
Smt. A. Balkis, was selected as Civil Judge (Junior Division/Judicial Magistrate 1st Class) by direct Recruitment in the year 1998 and joined as Judicial Magistrate No.1 at Coimbatore.
Promoted as Subordinate Judge in the year 2009 and worked at Gobichettipalayam, Kanchipuram and Chennai and thereafter promoted as District Judge in the year 2015 and posted as Sessions Judge, Communal Clash Cases Court for Southern Districts at Madurai and thereafter worked as Chairman, Tamil Nadu Wakf Tribunal, Chennai till April 2021. Thereafter worked as III Additional District Judge at Chidambaram, Cuddalore District and now working as Principal District Judge, Perambalur from 27.08.2021 to till date.
